Star Lot: Sheenagh Geoghegan (Irish, b.1981) A pair of Sheenagh Geoghegan (Irish, b.1981) original oil and pencil on board painting titled ' Let Bygones be bygones' and 'Water Under the bridge'. Features an abstract composition with broad brushstrokes. Rendered in a muted colour palette with greys and olive greens. Housed in matching wooden frames behind glass. Born in 1981 in Co. Tipperary, Ireland, she lives and works in Tipperary.
Geoghegan graduated with a BA in Fine Art from the Crawford College of Art & Design in Cork (Ireland) in 2003. In 2013 she completed an MFA at the Slade School of Art, London (UK) where she was awarded the Stanford Scholarship, the Orpen Award and the Charles Heath Hayward Award. In 2012 she was chosen to represent the Slade at dOCUMENTA 13. In 2015, she set up an experimental space entitled The Sewing Room.
