A very large and richly rendered original oil on canvas board painting by post-war and contemporary Irish artist Rita Early, dating to 1979. This work shows a view of a riverbank encompassed by rolling mountains, lush pastures and thick forestry. Delicately achieved through a variety of brushstrokes, creating clarity in the blue sky and still water, and texture in the foliage and rocky outcrops. Early has a good auction history with works selling in the early hundreds. Beautifully housed in a gilt frame. Would make a fabulous pair with lot no. 72!
