Star Lot : A delightful pair of original Pete Hogan (Dublin, contemporary) watercolour and ink on paper paintings titled "The Ha'penny Bridge, Dublin" and "The Court of Appeal." Both signed and titled in ink pen to base and housed in fine green and gilt frames. Artist's card to verso. From a large private collection.
Pete Hogan is a well-known visual artist, who specialises in Cityscapes and Seascapes. Born in Dublin, Ireland and educated in both Dublin and Vancouver, Canada he has traveled extensively. Hogan is a member of the Graphic Studio print workshop, Dublin. Early influences on Pete's work were the carvings of Henry Moore, the graphic style of Edwardo Paolozzi and the panache of Christo. More recently he tries to develop his own style in the broad context of modernism and Irish Art. Really like these.
