Star Lot : A fantastic original oil on board painting featuring a still life study of three trout. Forms are delineated by bold outlines with a fine achievement of the iridescent nature of the fish scales. Signed Coleman bottom left and housed in a smart wooden frame with hessian inner border. Inscription to verso attributes work to Simon Coleman RHA (Irish, b.1916 - d.1965) but signature is not consistent. Hendricks Gallery sticker and Apollo Gallery stamp to verso.
