Star Lot: A pair of fabulous 18th century miniature portrait silhouette paintings by I. Thomason. Thomason was a silhouettist known for creating “perfect likenesses in miniature profile” during the late 18th century. He worked in various locations, including London, Cheshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire, and Dublin in 1790 -1792. His studio in Dublin was located at 25 South Great George’s Street and later at 33 Capel Street. Housed in lovely oval gilt frames behind glass.
