Super Star Lot: An incredible rare pair of very large 19th century gilt reliquaries with one containing relics of St. Paul the Apostle, Holy Relic, St. Benedict, Ex Praesepe D.N.J.C - particle of the grotto of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, St. Francis de Sales and St Jane Frances de Chantal.
The other contains relics from St. James Gr. A., St. Gaudiosi M., Saint Placid Martyr, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Augustine of Hippo, St. Liberati M. and St. Niconis M. Held in wooden cases with brass elements, with relics behind glass. Boasting gothic architectural elements, filigree and rich enamelled detailing. H76cm
