Sean Nichol (1920–2005) was an Irish artist known for his expressive landscapes and figurative works. He studied at the Royal Hibernian Academy and the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art. Nichol’s paintings, often inspired by Ireland’s rural and coastal landscapes, were characterized by vibrant colors and energetic brushstrokes. Though he initially focused on figurative art, he later explored abstraction. His work was widely exhibited in Ireland, and his legacy continues through his emotive and bold approach to capturing the Irish landscape.
