Korol was born in 1965 in Kiev, Ukraine where she studied fine art before moving Prague and then Kilkenny in the 1990s. Sometimes containing memories of her Ukrainian homeland, her paintings offer a sense of mystery for the viewer. Her works can be found in collections across the world and do excellently in both the primary and secondary market. The themes of isolation, identity, and emotional depth that permeate her work speak to universal human experiences, while her expressive style makes her paintings visually compelling. Ludmila Korol’s paintings are marked by their bold use of color, emotional depth, and rich textural surfaces. Her work focuses on human figures, particularly women, exploring themes of introspection, emotion, and the complexities of the human experience in a way that is both personal and universal.
