Star Lot: A very large original Kieran McGoran (b.1932 - d.1990) mixed media oil on canvas board painting featuring an expanse of crashing waves in a soft colour palette. McGoran has a strong auction history featuring in Adams and Ross's sales fetching mid hundreds. Signed bottom right and beautifully presented in a whitewashed and gilt frame behind glass.

Kieran McGoran (1932-1990) was predominantly a figure and portrait painter who was born in Ballynahinch, Co. Down. He attended the Belfast College of Art before travelling to America for a number of years to study graphics. He generally worked in pastels and oils and took influence from William Conor.
