Star Lot : An unusual limited edition (13/45) original etching & embossing piece titled "Autumn Fields" by the artist Marie-Louise Martin featuring a window vignette window on handmade textured paper revealing an autumnal landscape of fields. The impressed plantlife in the paper adds layers of texture while nicely complimenting the subject matter. She sells excellently in secondary market, reaching prices in the mid hundreds in major Irish auction houses.

Marie-Louise Martin is a fine art printmaker based in Ireland. Working in her own studio and co-operating with others in Dublin, she produces original print using intaglio techniques. She studied Fine Art painting and printmaking at NCAD from 1978 to 1983 and received a B.A degree. Marie-Louise is among a small number of Irish contemporary artists who use traditional etching and engraving to make limited edition print. Her works are in majors collections including V & A Museum (London), Dáil Éireann, Stormont Castle (Belfast), Office of Public Works, Contemporary Irish Arts Society, National Self Portrait Collection, Boyle Civic Collection, B.P Oil Europe (Brussels), Microsoft Ireland, St Luke’s Hospital (Dublin), as well as numerous private collections worldwide.
