Thomas Sidney was a watercolour painter of landscapes, coastal and beach scenes. Many of the watercolours are scenes on the South Coast of England and are usually inscribed with the location and sometimes dated. In the North East, his favourite place to paint was Robin Hood's bay which he painted many times with no two the same view. Although a reasonably prolific artist he does not appear to have exhibited his works. Thomas Sidney also painted a number of Venetian scenes. An example of his work is in Hidden Talents - A Dictionary of Neglected Artists Working 1880 - (1950) by Jeremy Wood.
