A fabulous Amy Gunawarri (Aboriginal b.1993) acrylic on cotton canvas sterigraph painting. Titled 'Watergirl Dreaming' tells the story of a woman who was banished from her tribe and was forced to live in the sea. Eventually she grew fins and scales on her body like a fish. She saved any of her tribe unfortunate enough to fall into the sea. Some amazing intricate details to the 'Watergirl' and fish. Signed Amy Gunawarri bottom right with Australian Gallery sticker and Appleton's framers sticker to verso. Housed in a pine wooden frame with complementary matting.
