Star Lot: A high quality original antique engraving designed by William Hogarth (1697-1764) and printed by T. Cook in 1795 titled "The Idle 'Prentice return'd from Sea & in a Garret with a common Prostitute". Features the titular apprentice startled by a cat falling from the chimney and the caption "Leviticus 26:36 The sound of a shaken leaf shall chace him". In very good condition. Hogarth prints are highly collectable.
