Cormorant fishermen are a unique tradition in China. They are not found anywhere else on earth. These men are the very last of their village to still partake in this ritual. Tethered to their pontoons, these unique birds fish and swallow their catch and then with a full belly they are pulled back onto the boats and their guts are subsequently emptied with the catch of the day to be shared by all.
