Star Lot : A stunning original early 18th century coptic Icon painting featuring St Nicholas to center with a gilt halo encircling his head, and two saints on each shoulder. St Nicholas, who lived in Turkey in the 4th century, is the patron saint of Children and Sailors and has come to be strongly associated with Christmas. The skillfull rendered piece is on a heavy piece of wood panel and is approx 300 year old amazing piece.
