Features the titular coastal landscape rendered in his typical impressionist style with loose dynamic strokes creating a beautiful tonal composition, with lovely achievement of natural light reflecting on the wet sand. Signed ''Teeling'' bottom left and housed in a smart wooden frame. Teeling is a renowned Irish artist with a strong auction history, his works fetching upwards of €4000 at Whyte's.

Born in 1944 in Dublin, Norman Teeling is known as a leader in Irish impressionist painting, praised for his plein air style. He attended the National College of Art and Design in Dublin under Maurice MacGonigal PPRHA and John Kelly RHA, after which he taught fine art for a number of years. Working in oils and sometimes watercolours, his subjects include still life interiors, portraits, genre scenes and history painting and abstracts. He was commissioned to produce ten paintings for the General Post Office in Dublin to depict the events surrounding the 1916 Easter Rising, which presently remain on display. Teeling has exhibited throughout the UK and Ireland including at The Oriel Gallery in Dublin and The Barbara Stanley Gallery in London.
