Star Lot: A fabulous hand painted porcelain plaque of "Neapolitan Fisher Boy". After a painting by Gustav Karl Ludwig Richer. An identical example recently sold for €1300 at Carlo Bronte Auctions (Belgium). Wonderfully rendered in microscopic brushstrokes enhancing the soft glow of the figure's skin, and the gentle curls of his hair. Window to verso of frame to view partial pencil inscription to verso of porcelain. In very good condition.
