Star Lot: A magnificent large very striking original Edith Morris (Irish, 19th century) 1845 pastel on paper painting. Features a portrait of an elegant young woman. Wonderfully observed with fine detail achieved in the subtle blends of the face, as well as great texture and movement in the sitter's golden hair. Signed bottom right and dated to 1845. Housed in a very attractive antique moulded gilt frame with Guy & Co. Ltd. framers sticker to verso.
