Star Lot: An early 1930-50s very large Irish impressive original oil on canvas painting. Features a wonderful countryside landscape scene with a solitude figure, sheep and cottages. Rendered in impressionistic brushstrokes. Portrays impasto detailing with textural brilliance. In a rich green palette with whites, ochres, lilacs, yellows and crimson red highlights. Slight muting of tones characterising age and time. Housed in a wooden frame with linen matting. It's not signed but it's very impressive and feels important.
