Star Lot: A delightful original antique watercolour on paper painting by the British artist John F. Supple dating to 1892. Features a beautifully lit coastal landscape with large rocky outcrop jutting into the mauve toned sky. Light is wonderfully observed with shafts of sunlight breaking through the dense cloud and reflecting in the rock pools. In immaculate condition, signed bottom right and currently housed in a modern black wooden frame. This artist has a strong auction history with works fetching into the early hundreds.
