Star Lot: A magnificent late Victorian Chippendale style mahogany writing bureau / desk / escritoire boasting stunning carving in the form of a pie crust edge, scallop shell and foliate motifs throughout. Features myriad hidden compartments disguised as decorative motifs, as well as secret drawers behind drawers. All held on tall cabriole legs with acanthus leaf detailing to shoulders, ending in claw and ball feet. A fabulous piece in good condition.
