Born in Fife, Scotland, Short graduated from Edinburgh College of Art and The Royal College of Art, London. He has been the recipient of awards in The Royal Hibernian Academy Summer exhibitions and recently awarded The Royal Watercolour Society, London, Artist’s Prize for innovation in the medium of Watercolour. Also the Presidents Award, Watercolour Society of Ireland.
