Star Lot: A fantastic large original John Esborg (Danish, b.1931 - d.2019) oil on canvas painting titled "Landskab/Spanien" dating to 1977. Features a rural Spanish landscape scene of a small village in the shadow of hazy lavender blue mountains, rendered in an impressionist style. The terracotta roofs along with the red shrubs in the foreground contrast nicely against the cool palette of blues and greens. Initialed J.E. bottom left, with full signature and title to verso. Housed in a simple pine wood frame.
