Star Lot: Maeve Taylor (Irish, b.1928) A delightful Maeve Taylor (Irish, b.1928) oil on canvas painting. Features a warm affectionate friendship of three young children and a dog seated beneath a tree. Rendered in soft shades of green and blues with delicate brushstrokes. Signed bottom right. Housed in a lovely gilt frame.
Originally from Dublin, Maeve lives in Carlow, with her family. She started painting with oils in 2006 and has enjoyed this pastime since then. Her main interest is seascapes and landscapes but has also done a number of commissions of dog portraits, and family homes, among other things. In recent times she has been exploring the use of the palette knife in her work.
