Star Lot: Edward Maher (Irish, Post war). A wonderful original Edward Maher oil on board painting titled 'The Road to the Mourne Mountains' and dating to 1955. Features a meandering tree lined road with cottages and titular blue grey mountains in distance. This landscape is very much in the Irish school style with nods to the impressionists. Signed bottom left with title and date to verso. Housed in a painted molded frame.
