A fabulous John Shapland (British b.1865- d.1929) antique 19th century watercolour on paper painting titled 'Castle Rock, Lynton'. Features the titular coastal landscape scene dominated by a rocky cliff face. Shapland is a well known British landscape painter and exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Institute. Signed bottom left and housed in a gilt frame behind glass.
