Star Lot: A very large original Margaret McLoughlin (b.1963) limited edition (2/5) etching titled "C. Vicgearr" and dating to 1986. Features an atmospheric abstracted composition in dark tones, with scratched linear markings in a burnt red shade. Hand signed, titled and editioned in pencil to base. Housed in a high quality pine wood frame. McLoughlin sells very well in the primary market and has a good auction history.

Margaret McLoughlin (b. Dublin, Ireland, 1963) studied at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. Selected solo exhibitions include ‘Timeswept’, Original Print Gallery, Dublin (2009); and ‘Winter drifts’ Original Print Gallery, Dublin (2006). Selected group shows include Royal Ulster Academy, Annual Exhibition, Belfast (2009); Footprint Biennale, Connecticut USA (2008); Boyle Arts Festival (2005). Her work is included in the collection of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
