A rare antique mounted map showing the route of Dublin to Galway via Athlone. This example is circa 1778 and is in excellent condition. Produced by the acclaimed Irish mapmakers Taylor & Skinner. Mounted nicely on a green border. Measurements: 23cm x 13cm.
The first comprehensive road map in Ireland was produced by Taylor & Skinner the year before, in 1777.
