Star Lot: Paul Stephens (Irish Contemporary, b.1975). A brilliant original Paul Stephens oil on panel board painting titled 'Paddle in the Sea - Bovisand Beach Nr Plymouth'. Features a contemporary modern take on an impressionistic style. A very charming piece really capturing the sparkle of the water. Signed P. Stephens bottom right and titled to verso. Additional study of bathing figure to verso. Housed in a white wooden frame. Stephen's paintings sell very well at auction with works fetching upwards of 400 pounds.

Stephens was born in 1975. During the 1970/80s, he worked as a designer, creating posters and logos. He works in a colourful, impressionist aesthetic, inspired by scenes of nature. Her has had two paintings chosen by Warner Bros for 'Sandman 2' and his works have been exhibited at noted galleries in London.
