Star Lot: Patrick Murphy (Irish, Contemporary). A fabulous original oil on board painting by well known Irish artist Patrick Murphy. Features a naive landscape with cottage very much in the style of Markey Robinson. Signed lower left and to verso. Housed in a smart white box frame. Murph's painting sell well at auction with works fetching into the hundreds at Ross's.
Patrick Murphy is a self taught artist who comes from a fine tradition of Irish landscape painters. Patrick paints a landscape which is unapologetically sentimental as he remembers his childhood.
