Star Lot :An incredible original mixed media textile artwork titled "Formation I - Temple" by the artist Patricia Kelly dating to 1994. A densely rendered piece, this textile work comprises of heavily layered and worked fabric, stitched together with a variety of stitches forming geometric patterns. Bursting with colour and texture and housed in a deep grey/green frame with dark green matting. Signed, dated and titled to verso.

Patricia Kelly is an accomplished textile artist based in County Fermanagh. She holds a degree in Fine Craft Design, has extensively exhibited across Ireland and internationally, and her works are held in public collections including at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre.
In her artist statement, the artist gives an insight into her work: ‘Using free motion embroidery techniques to create her works, which in recent times have become more abstract, there is a strong focus on the use of the stitched line. Inspiration and influence come from many sources including the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, which is to see beauty in the imperfect; as well as from the rugged landscape and skies in the west of Ireland, where lines created by tangled hedgerows are silhouetted against coloured skies.
