Star Lot: Albert Daniel Rutherston (b.1881 –d.1953). A wonderful Albert Daniel Rutherston original pencil and gouache on paper painting titled 'West Bay' dated 1922. Features a beautiful Dorset English landscape with sheep in illustrated style. Hand signed, titled and dated bottom right. Housed in a sweet gilt frame with matching gilt edged matting. This painting was sold at Ross's auctioneers with an estimate of £300 -£400.

Albert Daniel Rutherston (5 December 1881 – 14 July 1953) was a British artist. He painted figures and landscape, illustrated books and designed posters and stage sets. Rutherston started as a realist painter but changed to a more decorative style around 1910, the year of his first one-man exhibition at the Carfax Gallery.
