Star Lot: A fabulous original oil on board painting titled "Pembroke St, Dublin" by noted Irish artist Colin Gibson (b.1948). This brightly rendered scene displaying architectural features of Georgian Dublin, including tall red brick terraces, ornate street lamp posts, flagstone pavement and wrought iron park gates. Gibson has a strong auction history with a work selling at Whyte's for €2,100.

Belfast born painter Colin Gibson, spent his early working life at the Belfast Telegraph as a graphic designer. He committed himself to painting at 26 and developed a dynamic realist style that suited his oft chosen subject matter of urban and sporting scenes. His works are held in a number of public and private collections worldwide.
